What is Individual Therapy?

  • In individual therapy we work together in a one-to-one format.

  • Therapy is collaborative in nature, meaning that we work together to set goals and find solutions that fit for you.

  • You are the expert in your own life. I believe that you are already taking steps (be they mentally, emotionally, or behaviourally) to overcome your struggles. However, these actions may be hidden or go unnoticed.

  • One of my aims is to help you to recognize your strengths, skills, and competencies. To create an environment where you feel empowered, confident and independent. It is my goal that you leave each session feeling like you have mastery over your own life

 

I utilize a variety of approaches to therapy including:

I am trained in a number of evidence-based treatments. I believe that every person, problem and solution are unique. Thus, I utilize a variety of approaches to therapy to best fit each individual. My most common approaches include:
